The 2019 Suzuki Midnight Sun Run takes place on Thursday June 20th. Here you can find information about the service available for runners on race day.
Timing is done with the Mylaps system in all three distances.
Each runner has to fasten the chip to their shoelace. No chip = no time.
Timing mats are crossed in the start and at the end of the race so runners will get both their personal time (chip time) and gun time. Gun time is used to rank runners in both overall and age groups categories.
This environmentally friendly chip is rented to the competitor during the Suzuki Midnight Sun Run and has to be returned after the race to the race staff. See further information here.
In the registration process participants can choose to buy a finishers medal or not. The fee for the medal is 500 ISK.
First three men and women in all distances will get a prize medal and gifts from the race sponsors at the finish area soon after the race. Age group prizes will be given later.
See further information about prizes here.
At the ice rink (Skautahöllin í Laugardal, Múlavegur 1, 104 Reykjavik) participants can leave their clothes and other personal belongings. A staff member will stay around but all belongings left there is your own responsibility. The ice rink will be open 19:00-00:20 on race day.
